SEEDS
We process and market chia seeds, which are considered “superfoods” due to their high nutritional value. Our product is safe, consistent, and of the highest purity. This is sold in bulk in white bags to distribution channels and/or to brands that reach, with their own branding, the final consumer.
Currently our plant is dedicated exclusively to processing chia, thus minimizing the risk of contamination that can occur when dealing with other products.
Chia is a small, oval-shaped seed, approximately 1 to 2 mm in diameter. It is known for its hygroscopic capacity, meaning it can absorb several times its weight in water, forming a gel that aids digestion and prolongs the feeling of satiety.
In Paraguay, chia is mainly grown in the Eastern region, in departments such as San Pedro, Caaguazú, Canindeyú, and Alto Paraná. The average yield in the country ranges between 300 and 700 kg per hectare, depending on climatic conditions and agricultural practices.
There are two main varieties:
✔ Black chia: A mix of dark seeds with gray and brown tones.
✔ White chia: A lighter, more uniform variety with similar nutritional properties to black chia.
Did you know that chia means strength in the Mayan language? It is sometimes incredible to think that such a small seed can bring so many benefits to our health and well-being. Considered a superfood for its high nutritional value, chia is a strong and key ally to reduce risk factors for heart disease, diabetes, digestive disorders, among others.
